Giant piston column sampler

OSIL's piston column sampler greatly increases the penetration depth of the column sampler as a basic tool in the field of deep-sea sediments. Piston column samplers can collect longer, more complete and less susceptible to disturbing samples than gravity column samplers. The movement of the piston reduces the internal friction and prevents clogging. The programmable acoustic release allows the user to adjust the length of the cable by adjusting the length of the cable between the clamp and the counterweight. The sampler can be used for deep-seated deep and dark substrate samples. Can be selected according to the needs and budget using stainless steel or galvanized steel structure. When the sampler drops to the seafloor, the acoustic release device triggers the final free fall through the process.
